There is a complex ecosystem of microbes that live on the surface of skin. The way in which skin is cleansed is one of the most important aspects in ensuring a healthy microbial environment exists. We have used ultra-mild surfactants that do not strip the natural lipid barrier and therefore the skin environment is kept healthy. We also take great care in keeping the pH the same as skin because the good microbes favour the natural skin pH.
Active Treatment:
Esse Cream Cleanser Hillcrest includes Marula Oil which dissolves oil-based impurities without stripping the skin. Aloe Vera has soothing and healing properties ensuring this product is suitable for the most sensitive of skins. Jojoba Oil leaves the skin feeling refined and smooth and makes it the ideal product for skin that tends towards dryness.
Palmarosa, Caraway and Rose Geranium are also used and deliver anti-septic properties as well as the refreshing green fragrance.

The ingredients include Aspalathus Linearis (Rooibos) Leaf Extract*, Glycerin**, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Decyl Glucoside, Cetearyl Alcohol, Sclerocarya Birrea (Marula) Seed Oil, Glyceryl Stearate and Cetyl Alcohol. Also Xanthan Gum, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Extract*, Pelargonium Graveolens (Rose Geranium) Oil*, Sodium Phytate and Cymbopogon Martini (Palmarosa) Oil*.
Not to mention Citric Acid, Carum Carvi (Caraway) Oil and Benzyl Alcohol. As well as Ascorbyl Palmitate, Dehydroacetic Acid, Tocopherol and Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil. Lastly are Mentha Viridis (Spearmint) Leaf Oil*, Linalool***, Citronellol***, Geraniol*** and Limonene***.
